2024 was the year for Emily Dickinson for me. This was taken in December, 2024. Staunton is a beautiful old town nestled snugly in the Shenandoah Valley. It is home to an amazing Shakespearean theatre and there are loads of activities to do there.

I had an opportunity to visit Amherst, Massachusetts and toured the Dickinson home, toured Amherst, and saw Frost Library (where Melvil Dewey (of Dewey Decimal Fame). Emily Dickinson has a special place in my heart, my daughter was named after her.

Seuss Museum and me

In my whirlwind tour of Massachusetts, Springfield was home to Dr. Seuss, another favorite. The museum is a must visit. It is interactive and it is hard not to act like a kid again when going through it!
